Django James, Amy Keys, Nadirah X, Carina Round, Robin Davey
Today I’m bringing you an update about some of the great new artists Dave Stewart is supporting:
His son Django James is going to release his debut single “Hurricane” later this year and playing live gigs in L.A., Redding, Eureka and Petaluma in the next weeks. Check the dates and details on Django James MySpace page and listen to the single and more new songs there now.
Amy Keys (Rock Fabulous Orchestra) will be in concert on June 25, 2009, at 8pm at the Archeo Jazz Festival in Blainville-Crevon, France, and on tour with French Rock’n'Roll super star Johnny Hallyday (tour page) again.
Nadirah X is not having any future live dates listed at the moment but a new website and an intense live video of “Here It Comes Again” featuring Carina Round and Ned Douglas up on YouTube:
You can see Carina Round live in New York at “The Living Room” on June 24 and in Williamsburg at “Pete’s Candy Store” on June 28, 2009, where you can also by her new CD. Read an interview and see some nice photos of her working with Billy Corgan here on SmashingPumpkins.com.
Finally there’s Robin Davey (Bastard Fairies, The Hoax) who launched an amazingly wild and grooving new formation (listen to demos and jam sessions here) called the “Robin Davey Blues Mob” and is going to play more dates in California in ealy July.
