A Rocking Night To Remember – Fan report + videos from Rock’n'Roll Hall Of Fame

Thanks to lovely Annie Lennox fan Sue I can feel honoured to present you her fan report and video from the appearance of Annie Lennox at Aretha Franklin’s concert for the Rock’n'Roll Hall Of Fame 25th Anniversary last weekend:

A Rocking Night to Remember

I worked all day then flew down to JFK airport to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary concert. I made my way to Madison Square Garden and took my seat around 6:30 PM. I was fortunate enough to get floor seating and the view was great!!! The Garden was packed and electrifying with excitement.

091104_annielennoxcomAround 7:30 PM Aretha came out. She looked great with a red dress and black jacket on. She sang and the house went crazy!!! She has still got it… very powerful soulful voice. Aretha sang a few songs and then introduced her special guest “Annie Lennox” who came all the way from England.

There was a great round of applause as Annie came out. Annie started dancing and singing “Chain of fools” with Aretha. There was tremendous energy with both voices blending together!!! Annie was moving around the stage and trying to pump up the crowd!! It was great. Annie looked fabulous… loved the black tee shirt and black fedora. The house was ROCKING!!!

The song ended and we all were standing and applauding. It was FANTASTIC to see Annie on the stage live…. she has so much positive energy and enthusiasm that is just hard to beat. It was a night to remember and it will go down in Rock and Roll history!

Watch my video of Annie’s performance here now:

Other performances that I loved were: Jeff Beck playing a Beatles montage of songs, Sting sang a beautiful gospel song Train A Coming, Metallica with Ozzy!!!, U2 with Bruce Springsteen and Patti Smith and Back eyed Peas and Mick Jagger… WOW!! It was a Rock and Roll dream come true for me. I was SO happy to be able to be there!!
