Today, on Sunday, August 15, 2010, Dave Stewart finished the mixing and mastering of his new solo album "The Blackbird Studio Sessions" in Nashville. Less than 6 weeks since the first recording and after various breaks, the studio work for the album is done and he can relax again. According to a new appraisal by Dave, the album is going to be released in March 2011, accompanied by a single in January next year.

Dave Stewart announced on June 4, 2010, that he is “gonna make [a] new solo album of original songs” which is gonna be the “first in 12 years !!!” (after “SlyFi” in 1998). He said he is “doing it in Nashville in 4 weeks time“. (ethrill.net reported)
