The BBC reports that the 2009 Children in Need show - featuring a host of stage, screen and music stars including Annie Lennox with David Gray live in the Studio, on BBC's "Later ... with Jools Holland" as well as performing "Why" solo at the big concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London earlier this week - has raised £20.3m already with £1.6m coming from Scotland.

BBC's "Children In Need" Rocks The Royal Albert Hall was an obviously great concert with amazing line-up this week. Annie Lennox did not only perform "Why" but also took part in the great finale that brought many of the artists (Leona Lewis, Lily Allen, Mika, Muse, Dizzee Rascal, Take That, Robbie Williams, Dame Shirley Bassey, Cheryl Cole, Snow Patrol and Katherine Jenkins) together with Paul McCartney to perform the Beatles classic hit "Hey Jude".
