Today, on Sunday, August 15, 2010, Dave Stewart finished the mixing and mastering of his new solo album "The Blackbird Studio Sessions" in Nashville. Less than 6 weeks since the first recording and after various breaks, the studio work for the album is done and he can relax again. Dave Stewart announced on June 4, 2010, that he is “gonna make [a] new solo album of original songs” which is gonna be the “first in 12 years !!!” (after “SlyFi” in 1998). He said he is “doing it in Nashville in 4 weeks time“. As reported the current issue of the US Rolling Stone magazine has a huge cover and photo story about the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Anniversary concerts (see here) including a two photos of Annie Lennox. Today I found out that the prettier one is also printed in the current German Rolling Stone magazine, a little bit smaller after they reserverd only one page for these special nights but nevertheless worth getting!
